They’re finally moving along with the build. It’s pretty exciting! I’ve found that it’s necessary to trust the process, but also ask the necessary questions.
I drove by the lot last Friday (5/25) and the cement had been poured and dried. But, there were some big X’s across my lot and two others. I was just excited that we had a foundation that I didn’t even realize there was a problem. The very next day, I decided to take my mom to see it annnnnd our lots were dug up lol It’s funny now but I was so confused and felt like my PM should have looped me in. I sent an email and he answered me, while he was on vacation. He’s super sweet and I truly appreciate his dedication to this build. He said that the batch of cement was defective and they didn’t catch it until it started to dry, so they dug it up and started over! I appreciate that! I’ve heard horror stories that people are paying thousands to correct.
My PM emailed us on Wednesday to share news on the status of the build and what would be happening in the coming weeks. They started framing, the roof is next, plumbing & then electrical. We drove by today and things are moving along.
We went furniture window shopping afterwards…
